I’m always eager to try new textures and I love hard toys, especially metal and glass. It sometimes seems like a shame that such lovely works of art are relegated to the toy box but I suppose it’s better than having too many inquiries into just what this artwork on display really was. Somehow I can’t imagine explaining that to my mother-in-law over Christmas drinks. But I digress….

When the Triple Play Teaser arrived, it was in a plastic clamshell package that was easy to open and contained not just the glass toy but a lovely red velvet bag to store the toy in. With glass toys, it’s always a good idea to store them in soft fabric so they don’t clank about or become scratched because they contact other toys or your toy box hardware.

A careful inspection of the toy showed it to be well-made and I didn’t find any flaws, scratches or burrs on the clear glass surface. The bumps on the Triple Play Teaser were also thick enough to withstand my efforts to snap or tug them off which gave me some measure of confidence that they would not come off in the midst of play. Not an outcome I care to contemplate so I always check glass toys with bumps, knobs or other protrusions. The lovely clear glass dildo just laughed at the abuse.

A quick bath with soap and water and a thorough rinse and the Triple Play Teaser was ready for action. Of course I had to wait until after dinner and after kid bedtime. Woe is me!

Finally I was able to slick the Triple Play Teaser up and lay back from some serious testing. I started with the smooth end that has the crook to act as a g-spot stimulator. Cool at first, the glass quickly warmed up to body temperature. At eight inches long, the Triple Play Teaser is a nice length for being able to run over my g-spot without running into the bed with the other end. Some of the longer dildos require rather intricate gymnastics to accomplish this. The dildo is only an inch and a half in diameter, though, so I quickly wanted more girth or texture.

I reversed the toy to try out the knobby and bumpy end. I really enjoyed the array of pumps at my vaginal entrance. Apparently enthusiasm is my downfall, though, because when I got too excited and thrust a bit too hard, the bumps on the end of the Triple Play Teaser connected with my cervix at great velocity and my eyes crossed – NOT in a good way. These are not little rounded bumps. These are the industrial bumps! Now, don’t get me wrong, they are beautifully rounded and a great deal of fun – until I put too much effort into the thrusting. But a bit of panting and a gentle restart to my fun soon had me back into the mood.

At eight inches long and one and a half inches in diameter, this is not a particularly thick dildo but more an average in size. That said, the textures of the bumps and the crooked g-spot end make it a multi-talented performer. If you absolutely have to have fullness, this may not be the dildo for you but if you enjoy textures and the hardness of glass, this would make a great addition to your collection for a very good price. Honestly, the size is not a bad thing when it comes to glass toys as they can quickly become quite heavy.

The glass of the Triple Play Teaser can be washed with anti-bacterial soap, specialized toy cleaner, alcohol or even boiled or washed in the dishwasher. I really enjoy the ability to use glass toys without condoms but a good bath is a must, no matter what.

The Triple Play Teaser can be used for anal penetration but I might recommend caution with the bumpy end as well as care since there is not flange to prevent over-insertion.

The bottom line is that if you are looking for a hard dildo that is versatile, powerful and pretty and won’t break the bank, the Triple Play Teaser is a fantastic choice! I recommend it and consider it a keeper. Just think of how lovely the icy clear glass would look in a gift box for any winter holiday!

I initially found Ruby Glass 21 through Twitter and my love of hard toys made me sit up and take notice. I think glass toys are works of art and when I heard these are hand-blown art glass, I had to check them out. I’m glad I did.

The Ruby Glass 21 website is well laid out and I was easily able to rifle through the categories in the sidebar to the left to look at their products. And boy are they GORGEOUS. Gorgeous glasswork and beautifully proportioned as well.

Ruby Glass 21 has a very informative and interesting About Us page that describes their location as Eugene, Oregon and I briefly entertained a day trip but they don’t actually have a retail location. Damn. But they have great information on this page and an obvious pride in the work they do and a love and concern for their customers. The fact they are 100% in-house blown means a lot to me, actually. I know a lot of craftspeople and I think the hands of someone who works with the same materials all the time seem to have a sort of near-magic “knowledge” about their materials. I know I can feel when something is off with my stained glass and my beading. It just feels wrong. It’s got to be the same for glassworkers.

Ruby Glass 21′s site also have an excellent Glass FAQ page where you can learn the basics of glass toys, what kind of glass is used, what inclusions are, to the basics of temperature play with glass. This is a great resource for those new and not-so-new to glass toys.

There are great videos on their site of the toys being made as well. Very worth a watch.

But here’s what really entranced me – MJ at Ruby Glass 21 has set up a LIVE FEED so you can go the the feed and watch these toys being made. Live. Right there on your monitor! Eventually they hope to set it up so you can pick your glass and then be given a link to watch as your toy is/was being made. Somehow that bit just tickles me – I can watch my OWN toy be blown. How cool is that? Right now, though, you can watch MJ work on various toys and it’s both entertaining and fascinating. I love watching MJ masterfully maneuver a formerly straight piece of glass into a graceful arc in seconds. It just … happens.

Right now the feed is video only and it has a bit of interference causing a light wave pattern on the video but MJ is working hard to get that cleared up. I know they have plans to add audio and multiple camera angles as well. Even with the current issue and limitations, I find myself mesmerized every time I turn it on. Maybe it’s just me but I bet other people will be fascinated as well.

I’m hoping to put together an interview with MJ for this blog where I can ask some questions about the making of these toys, Ruby Glass 21′s upcoming plans, and even how he got started in glassworking in general and toys in particular. I know I’m curious and hope you are too.

I’m also trying to pick out a toy to buy and review at the moment. But I have to make a decision and, boy, is that hard. The toys are beautiful and VERY well-priced, especially for hand-blown glass produced in-house. The vast majority of glass toys range from $20 to $100, with a single $220 toy, and if you’ve ever priced really well-made glass toys, you’ll know how reasonable this is. I’ve seen glass toys I’m not nearly so attracted to sell for much more. I just have to try one for myself – you know, to check out the workmanship and quality for myself.

Now if I could just make up my MIND.
